What We Offer

Science Research Academy offers an exclusive, limited-access pathway to conduct original research under the direct mentorship of an active professional scientist. Successful applicants gain immediate placement on ready-to-start, on-demand projects; priority access to immersive, deeper summer research experiences when students have extended availability; or a fully bespoke, mentor-guided program designed around a student’s own research question. Spots are highly competitive and limited each cycle — missing this chance means forfeiting a rare, portfolio-defining opportunity that selective colleges and scholarship panels prize.   • We present curated research projects hand-selected by leading field experts and fully developed for immediate launch upon selection of a qualified student, offering an exclusive pathway to advanced, mentor-guided scientific inquiry.

    These projects are assigned using rolling admissions.

  • We offer a selective summer research program designed for motivated students. The extended availability of the summer months allows participants to engage in deeper, more rigorous projects under the mentorship of experienced scientists. Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong academic preparation, sustained commitment, and genuine passion for research; only the most promising applicants will be admitted.

    Application period: March 1–May 1 annually.

    Selected participants begin projects in June or July.

  • Students selecting this premium pathway partner one-on-one with a Science Research Academy staff scientist to craft an original, publication-quality research project from the ground up. Ideal for driven students who have already identified a compelling research question, this option guarantees personalized project design, targeted mentor matching with a vetted professional in the field, and guided launch support to advance the investigation efficiently and credibly. Enrollment is limited to maintain bespoke attention and high standards of mentorship.

This option provides the rigor, structure, and depth of a premier research experience without waiting for a fixed start date.

Summer Research Experience

The Science Research Academy Summer Research Experience is an intensive, immersive opportunity for students ready to pursue in-depth, high-level research during the summer months. These projects are designed for greater complexity and depth, requiring a stronger time commitment and sustained engagement. Students accepted into this program work closely with mentors to advance substantial research projects over the course of the summer.
